Here’s a little time out from my photos to point out a couple great artists I’ve come across lately.

Jeff Brouws is a photographer who does great landscape work. If you’ve ever been inspired by a parking lot check it out. My favorite is the series entitled signs without signification.
Also, one of my new favorites is Swedish singer Lykke Li (her real name is Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson so no wonder she shortens it). She has a great mix of simple almost Eastern sounding percussion with electro influenced vocals. She’s going to be doing shows on the East Coast in early May and if her shows are anything like this video I’m there. I also love this second video- you can’t go wrong with spoons on bathroom soap dispensers for percussion.
For those of you who didn’t make it, over 25k people ran the Boston Marathon on Monday. Basically the whole city shut down. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Here’s some more photos I shot for the UK Magazine Rock Sound’s feature, BFMV Invade The US: Full Road Report. I shot them in Portland Maine’s Old Port, backstage, and then live. by the way if you’re a fan, it’s just bullet. (Click image to view larger)

Here are two images I shot for Bust Magazine’s the Men We Love issue- Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses and Errol Morris– the documentary film director.
